These are the current classes I've taken related to my career, as well as academic conferences that I've been to so far.

Freshman Year Classes

Honors Perspective Course (FA25')

This is the first class of honors that I have taken and it has been such a positive experience. While it compares to a uact course, which teaches you ways of college, this is a proficient course that practically does all that and more. It really has engaged me within the university and made it where I knew my entire campus well, as well as how to efficiently access all the resources the school has to offer.

Honors Laboratory (FA25')

This class was honestly so rewarding. Throughout the class, not only did we plan trips, we read a book called Fahrenheit 451. The book was genuinely such a mind-twisting story that really makes you think about the way that our society has been progressing, so much in a way that it feels like we're actually regressing. When class was online, we'd have discussion posts where you got to see what your other classmates thought about the book, as well as share your own ideas and visions on it. When class was in person, we'd have professors to come talk to us about the book and different perspectives that we could look at in their respective fields. An example of this would be the last class we had, which included a history and psychology point of view of the book. It really was a class that helped you use practical thinking skills.

Social & Ethical Environment of Business (FA25')

I absolutely loved this class. While it was online, it genuinely taught me so much about morals within business, and how keeping a strong ethical standpoint is so important. It also teaches you in some ways what HR does in the ethical/moral side of their job. An ethical foundation to a company is so important because it reflects on the employees and leadership, especially in the ways things are handled in the future, and I never would've learned all the ways to create that ethical foundation within myself or a company without this class.

Academic Conferences

These are the academic conferences I attended throughout high school into college that relate to my career field.

Youth in Government Conferences (2022-2025)

During my high school career I attended 6 or more YMCA Youth in Government conferences. Some of these were Model United Nations (MUN), which was a representation of the United Nations and how it worked, as well the original Youth-In-Government conference, in which i got to attend and go into the capitol in Nashville to present bills that I had come up with based on the needs in Tennessee. I had done bills on mandating therapy for every foster kid in Tennessee, as well as sexual education, and putting stricter laws on landlords' control over tenants. These conferences showed me my love for the court room and all that comes with it, the arguing and fighting for what you believe in. These conferences created the drive in me that I have now to become a lawyer. My bills were put into conference legislation every year and I received two awards in total for the conference.

DECA Conference (2024-2025)

This is a youth business conference designed to help high school students understand the workings of business related fields and such. I was in the business law sector, which was a great experience because I was able to practice my future profession. A lot of research into businesses was required for this, and I even received an award, and was an alternate for going to nationals.
